    Graphics Card? take a quick look

    hey,my graphics card is a

    NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400

    and i have a normal crappy heavy monitor

    but........it's going out,so i am getting a

    Megavision 17"  MV173 monitor

    its a flat screen,flat panel,and all that


    so... i don't think i have the plug's for it in the back of my computer,

    what do i need.?

    I'm sure that monitor being a new one will have the proper cable to hook up to that vid card...

      hey,i think your wrong,cause my friend has a flat screen,flat panel,and he has like 3 cords,going 2 everything,

      and i don't have the back plug-in he does,my computer is crappy custom,and his computer is brand new
      my computer, window xp pro version 2002,AMD Athlon(tm),1.20GHz,1.00 GB RAM,GeForce fx 5500,custom computer

      Yes, I also think it will connect to your existing video card, based on the specs I see at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16889205001.  I believe this info: [highlight]Input Video Compatibility: PC Input: Analog RGB[/highlight], specifically, Analog RGB, indicates it uses a standard VGA connector.

      If you're unsure, you need to verify whether the monitor uses a VGA connector or a DVI connector.  Your video card works with VGA, not DVI.

        New or used is irrelevant.  It's the specific model and the specifications for it that matter.

          Look, you need to educate yourself a bit on this.  Here's one Google find from a search on VGA vs. DVI:

          LCD connections: analog vs. digital

          Again, get the exact specs on that monitor.  VGA or DVI?  The info in your last post does not answer the question.  I believe the info I posted earlier does.
