What exactly did you do? Linux software on Windows? I don't think so.

Ok, so on my alienware pc, which is running windows, it has a program called Power Cinema Linux. It it ment to enable you to watch dvds and such without booting up windows. Its like and instant veiwer app. I tried to install it on my sisters comp, and now its all messed up. Is there anyways to recover files from a harddrive after a full restore?

If you are using some sort of restore CD you will most likely overwrite ALL existing data. If you have a real Windows CD you might try a repair install, but I would definitely save the data first.

Since you are not scare of Linux, have a read. It might save your *censored*!

Thanks, linux is now my new best friend. I used it to get all the important documents back. Im going to try a repair install of windows, but if that doesnt work ill just fully repair it. Thanks again.
