Cube and Cube 2 AKA Saurbraten
High quality FPS multiplayer completely free and you don't need an account to play, just fire it up and join a server hours apon hours of fun, I prefer it over Half life2 DM.

no offense intended, but i personally believe that second life is far too "free roaming". the fact that you are able to do virtually anything may lead to users believing that second life is their "second life". the user may lose grip on their own reality as second life becomes their new reality; they may be enveloped so much by their "god-like" power and anonymity, that their own life may appear as dull and boring. the user may forget about improving his/her career or accomplishing their schoolwork, and may, in fact, spend countless hours playing a game, and looking forward to playing a game, that achieves nothing in life. i see it as being highly addictive, dangerous, and destructive.

P.S. please refrain from spamming as it is not appreciated on this board. saying it once is enough. do not be surprised if your post is edited by a mod.

I'm all about Dink Smallwood.  Certainly not the most advanced game, but it provides a few hours of fun.  And there are tons of mods available for download, which provide even more fun.

I'm also fond of Legend of the Green Dragon, which is run on hundreds of different servers, and it's different on every site.  My favorites, though, are Age of Dragon Legends (temporarily down for a week or two) and Dragon Machine (good for beginners...if you join a clan).

And despite its simplicity, I used to love AdventureQuest.

I know so many Americans who do nothing but Second Life... they made PC games on second life like 'counter-Strike' and 'command and conquer'... thats just sad IMO

you hear about the guy who actually died after spending so long on it? (either this or WoW i forget, there both wastes of time)

Ogame... i played that a while ago... not bad TBH but repetative and so prone to 'whoreres' (mass Battleships)

As for adventure quest? WTH is it? does even have a story or plot?

No, not really.  Ha.  There's no main storyline, but different quests are created every week or so.  It's actually pretty pointless.  You don't even interact with other players (besides on the forum).  But it can be entertaining if you don't play it a whole lot.
