Installing a Printer

Epson C44ux...Set it up, plugged it in ,mains,USB, Confuzer uses XP Home)
Inserted CD and off we go.
very soon two error messages
.
1...Printer Port set to Port
.
RPC Server not available.
.
Now what can I do please ???

 A mistake that everyone  makes including me ;D is wack in the back...>plug it in...no!software first..hardware next...uninstall it via the device manager...remove it... and unplug it..and reboot..now load the software ...then plug it back in...done..
