User cleanup
« on: March 27, 2007, 08:55:52 PM »
SMF has an amazing feature for searching for members based off posts and all other nifty features. So going through and searching for 1+ year old posts of users who have never logged in and have 0 posts and clearing them, so don't freak out when you see the total members drop, there are a lot of these users surprisingly.

Computers, probably. We don't have that annoying "Enter the extremely hard to read code in the box" thing. :)

True, but it can be a deterrent for humans, too. Who'd register after being rebuffed three times for not having good enough deductive skills to know that a certain squiggle is a c rather than an o?

Though there was a forum I was one once, can't remember the name, that allowed the PC to read the code aloud. Which was cool. 8)

YaBB had the Obscufated number/letter system, it just wasnt that hard to read.

The one in SMF is much harder to read.
          (which is a good thing)

SMF has this capability it's in use on their forums. So maybe something that can be done in the future.

MSN Hotmail allows you to do this with their registration process. Its an accessibility feature.
