games development
« on: April 29, 2007, 04:58:07 AM »
Hey people, just wondering if anyone knows the root file structure of an engine like that used in doom3, which i have already contacted idSoftware about. I started a team about 4 months ago, here(where i am) in Australia, we now have 6 people including myself. We really wanted to make an fps similar to that of doom 3 or quake4, and we're well on our way. there are major problems though, and we did need some information about the engine used in doom3 FROM idSoftware and soon found out that getting in contact with them is DIFFICULT, and i still have no reply. Basic info about the game can be obtained by emailing me (i'm sure my addy is here somewhere :P), but we still need some advice concerning basic storyline ideas (easy enough) and engine data, file structure, gui's, and models  :-\  Hopefully someone will be kind enough as to help.
Thanx dudes  ;D

ALSO!!!!!
If anyone with any experience with games development wants to be a part of this team, i'm DEFINITELY open to enquiries.

If I don't reply, I'm probably out returning videotapes.

ID software licenses

It's not hard to contact them, they just don't like spam.  :)
