I'll start.
My username is just my name.
I can never think of good names and I'd forget them anyway, so I just use my actual one.

You're wondering about mine, right?    Having grown up on a farm is the underlying factor behind it.  Dad was a dairy farmer for many years but also a fairly large grain (corn and soybeans) producer, at least by Ohio standards.

When I first logged on to Computerhope, there was a box containing a Sidewinder joystick on my desk. It seemed reasonable as a forum threadname.

It does not come from the AIM-9 Sidewinder, a supersonic, heat-seeking, air-to-air missile carried by fighter aircraft.

Nor does it come from a small rattlesnake, known as a Sidewinder (aka. Crotalus cerastes).

When I hit 3700 posts, I'm going to temporarily use my real name and a picture of me as my avatar to celebrate for that day.

when i first signed up for CH, my username was John_K_Perkins_Jr, which (obviously) is my name. Then I changed it to jkpj13 which, interestingly enough, stands for John Kevin Perkins Jr., and the 13 was my age at the time (i'm 15 now). Then, recently, i started using JohnK because it's easier to type.

about 2 and a half years ago in science class, we were learning about gasses and fuels and stuff and we were talking about carbon dioxide and then i made up 'carbon dudeoxide'.
We had a quiz once and my friend got a question wrong by writing dudeoxide instead of dioxide

Nice idea for a thread, however since "Computer Hope admin" doesn't really have any real meaning behind it. I decided to log into the alt, which still isn't that original. But Techno is a name I've always used for an alias in chat and online. Of course the name comes from my love of Techno music.

Learning about how humans are affecting the planet. Talked about Carbon Dioxide. Made a Joke. Carbon Dudeoxide. Thought it was good and used it as my MSN Screen Name.
Haven't changed it since.

Mine is fairly obvious.  On the first site I ever joined I used the the name lordvader because I was a big fan of Star Wars (originals) and Darth Vader was my favorite character.  I liked the name Lord Vader better than Darth Vader and so I chose that.  On a Star Wars site that I joined later on I was not able to use the name lordvader as it was already taken.  The forum had a username suggestion thing that added three random numbers to your chosen username.  781 on was one of them.  I ran in to this problem again and decided that using lordvader781 was better than using a different set of numbers tacked on to lordvader as it would be easier to remember.  To this date, I've used lordvader781 for everything I join even if it has nothing to do with Star Wars.

So, really, I have only about 25 hours of free time a week, and that usually gets consumed by family. I'll be on CH as much as possible - it's just that "as much as possible" isn't really a whole lot.
