Running Win98/DOS games in Win XP
« on: April 25, 2007, 08:17:25 PM »
I am attempting to reinstall older games (i.e. Commanche 3 by Novalogic) in Win XP enviornment but will not load.  Is it possible to run these type games in XP?  I thought of partitioning the drive and reloading the older OS.

Thanks for any help.

Wow what a great game I remember Comanche 3. However, to answer your question it should be feasible to run this game and other older games in Windows XP without reloading an older OS. I'd suggest trying the suggestions on the below link. I'd first skip down to the end and try DOSBox. If that doesn't work give the other suggestions a go.

I can play a lot of DOS games on XP by simple work arounds, but they're game specific.
