Canon Printer Model 350

My Canon Printer is about two years old.  It will not print in blac k anymore.  I hve cleaned it and deep cleaned it.  I have remov ed the print head and cleaned it.  It still will only print colour.   I know a  new print head is about 40  or 50 dollars and I am not sure if this is the problem.  I am thinking it would probably be wise just to get a new printer.  Any suggestions?

Operating system / antivirus & antispyware protection / service packs installed / when did it start happening / did it ever work right / installed any new software?

Have you tried replacing the black ink cartridge with a Canon cartridge / have you changed any settings for the printer recently / uninstalled  reinstalled the printer driver?
