Download help

Whenever i try to download a new application or program, my computer only tries to open it in Word as opposed to in the new program. Any ideas thanks?

    Also we need:
    Your operating system
    The files you are trying to download
    Your antivirus and spyware/adware protection

    Don't open while downloading, save it to disk first.
