It is maybe a bit to riscy for my I don't know mutch about those things.
Isn't there just a easyway to force the proces to end and to delete the file?
Can it be that this file is a file of Norton that isn't deleted when norton was because the external harddrive wasn't connected?

If you are still unsure about this and that is completely understandable have someone you know that has a bit more experience FDisk and Format the drive for you...

The problem is that I don't know anyone.
Isn't there just a batchfile or something that you can create to remove that stupit file?
Or should I just give it up?

You might have to download a third party utility to wipe the drive. If you choose to do so, be extremely careful. If applied to your C: or boot drive, all data, including your operating system, will be lost and unrecoverable. DBan and killdisk are two that have free trial versions. Be sure to read and follow instructions and pay very close attention to what you do.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

The problem is that I already backuped 2 of our network computers on this drive.
I had given up on this. :-\
I want to get it of but if I run a format program then I want to be sure that that file is actually deleted and not only the backups.( I've had this problem when I tried formatting in safemode.)
Because it took a lot of time to create those backups.

This is why i'm concerned about you formatting ...one keystroke does it and if you selected the wrong drive/partition that data is gone.

If the file itself is causing no issues i would just let sleeping dogs lie...

Suddenly I can access the properties of the update map.
It says that the map has a size of 0 byte.
            How is this possible?

Now that I've changed the security settings to allow me full control and deny everything of the system I can access the file but the strange thing is that it is completely empty.
That how was it possibly for the system to block the removal should there normally be a file who blocks the removal?

It may be a folder instead of a file...right clik it and select delete.

If it's size is 0 k we're spending too much time worrying about it.

                Yes
But how does is it possible that I suddenly can access that file?  ???
                That's a real strange thing.
The only thing I did was running OneCare live in safemode.
But it didn't found Anny threats.
