Patio has also just became a mod, bringing the total to nine mods now.
Congratulations on becoming a moderator CBMatt!!!
PS: How does one become a moderator these days?
There are really no requirements to become a moderator, otherwise once someone met them I'd have to immediately make them a moderator. If you'd like to become a mod I don't mind getting PM's asking about it, but I can't just give everyone global moderator access.
Here are a few things I try to look at.
1. Clean posts. Posts that have good spelling, grammar, etc.
2. Time on forums. Users who are often on I think would make good mods since I and other mods can't be on 24/7. If someone is already spending a lot of time on the forums it's more likely they'll be on to keep the forum clean.
3. Post count. Although it's not a good thing to rate someone by post count alone, if they have a high post count and their last hundred or so posts appear to be helpful that helps.
4. Good posts. Although I've been bad in the past about keeping up with everything that's going on in the forums. Recently I've been trying to read as many posts as I can manage. So it's likely if you're making good/bad posts that I've noticed them.
5. Behavior. Someone who has follows the forum rules and that I've not had to warn them about doing something that could be deemed offensive.
Those are just a few things that I'm able to think of off the top of my head.
