Lol, that is AWESOME!!! Although that guy wasted like 20 hard drives.

If my hard drive was broken, i would just take it apart for fun.

You bet its fun! and then you can remove the rare earth magnets, which are some of the strongest magnets... on earth! (Excluding electric magnets... those dont count)

and then you can power it up while its opened and watch it!

Waking up a fairly old topic....

I finally went to my friends store and I asked for a broken HD and he got me one!!!
There is a pic attatched of it, looks awesome.
I might see what it does when it's plugged in since i have a laptop with no HD.

Waking up this old thread from the abyss...
yes raptor, it's another hard drive story  ;)

I got another hard drive and I went out and smashed it on a concrete wall (throwing it at it) and I also threw it up in the air and let it hit the floor. It didn't break whatsoever.
I got out a hammer and started pounding at it and it barely broke (dents everywhere).

I now understand why they made that hard drive shredder  :P

Say, would it shred a 14 year old kid?
    Can't wait....

    # a bottomless gulf or pit; any unfathomable (or apparently unfathomable) cavity or chasm or void extending below (often used figuratively)
    wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn

    # Abyss is a fictional character in Marvel Comics' universe. He first appeared in the alternate timeline of the Age of Apocalypse, in which he was one of Apocalypse's Horsemen, a nihilist with a warped sense of humor. His counterpart in the mainstream Marvel Universe first appeared in Cable #40. There it was revealed that his real name was, improbably enough, Nils Styger, and that he suffered from the Legacy Virus. Much later, was later recruited into Banshee's X-Corp

    Huh....
