Even though I already wished you good luck . . . good luck once more.
Even though you won't need it.
You've come a long way in the last few weeks.

There is an old secret about things electronic.
      They really run on smoke.

      That's right!   Smoke.

So, whenever you work on something electronic,  be sure to not let the smoke out!    Keep it all inside.
Just ask anybody..... if smoke starts coming out, it is a Bad Thing.

If you got it working, and kept all the smoke in -   then you are in good shape!

       :D

WOW, holy crap that case looks nice. And nice graphics card too! I always wanted a computer case that lights up haha. I'm stuck with a Dell Dimension 4600 that's all opaque black. The only thing that lights up is the power button haha.

            For anyone reading along:
There are lots of conversion apps online,  and the one I find easiest to remember is.....     www.google.com          :)
Sometimes the syntax has to be just right.

Type              49.99 euro in USD =              in Google and try it.

something like        30 kilometers in miles =
and      85 degrees fahrenheit in celsius =
            are also quite handy.

            p.s.

I don't know if you can get Google to convert the weight of the escaped smoke to dollars needed for replacement parts though.

Congratulations on the awesome build, Tony!  I was totally excited for you when I got your PM.  Calum's right, you've definitely come a long way.  I see a big difference between our first chats and now.  It's good to see you building yourself such a nice machine.  You've certainly got something worth bragging about to your friends.  Heh.  So, in total, how much do you think it all cost?  Or are you too afraid to add it all up?  Ha.

Wow, not too shabby.  A couple of those look a little expensive, but overall, £497 is a pretty good deal for that setup.  I'm surprised you didn't get 2 GB of RAM, though.  But I'm not sure about your motherboard's compatibility.

Intel pentium 4 chip =£17 - good deal
asrock motherboard= £50 - ripped off by the guy richenstony was complaining about before
new case= £50 - expensive but it looks good
5.1 external trust soundcard = £50 - seems expensive to me for sure
philips dvd writer = £60 - that's the external one, right?  I got one for around £40, but it's not too bad a deal

2Gb of RAM might have been nice but it was pretty expensive (DDR400 RAM).
              It's easy to upgrade anyway.
