    Browser problems ??
    « on: July 05, 2007, 02:10:09 PM »
I am having severe problems with my browser, in particular that it seems to be blocking certain pages and I can't seem to find out how to be able to access the pages.  In particular, I can't do much with Ebay when I want to sell stuff.....everything is greyed out and I don't seem to able to access certain boxes - like text boxes.  I thought I would download Internet Explorer 7 again, but when I downloaded it and tried to run it I got this error message....."Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file...you may not have appropriate permissions to access the item"....this seems ridiculous as I haven't done anything to alter my settings or permissions !

Can anyone help so that I can sort my problems out ? In the blue banner line above the error message is
    C:\Documents and Settings/Russ Allen/Local Settings/Temporary Internet Files/Content IE5/8LMKQN2H\IE7Setup_G[1].exe

I've tried going to this using the C drive but there is nothing there !

And for curiosity's sake...does Firefox work properly, or is it only IE that has problems?
