Computer freezing after one minute
« on: July 28, 2007, 11:59:55 AM »
This is about the problem I had in this thread:

http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,37788.0/topicseen.html

I'm not sure anymore if this is a virus. I reinstalled Windows (actually I changed my version of Windows, I have Windows Xp Home instead of Pro)

The computer is still freezing after one minute except in safe mode. I tried to do windows update but the computer is freezing before the end. I'm thinking this could be a problem with the hardware?

Well, I think I isolated the problem. This is something to do with the IDE Nvidia Nforce4 driver. Obviously this is not a virus problem so you can close this thread. Thank you to Matt for his help.
