Do you play demos before puchasing a game?

Thought this would be an interesting poll to run. Let me know what you think. In the past I've primarily purchased games without trying demos based most of what I purchased on reviews and what I've heard about it from others. However, recently I've been playing a lot of demos and they've been making up my mind for me.

I sometimes play demos first, but typically, I either play the full version at a friend's house or make an impulse purchase without ever playing the game (did this with AoE3 and BF2142).

Yeah I usually play the games at my friends house. If I like it, I consider getting it.

I don't do what my brother does. He sees a good ad on TV, buys the real thing but then doesn't play it after a day/week because he doesn't like it.

ive got demos on psp, and if I have the demo i usually dont buy the game lol. LocoRoco is an exception. good game.

if i know it will be a good game, i usually buy it. if im unsure, i acquire it through different means. personally i dont like installing demos.

yeah, playing the demo before spending money is very important.

I actually normally don't bother.
I rely on online reviews and my friends to tell me how good the game is before buying it but I very rarely use demos.

It depends on what the game is and if I have seen the previews or not.
Like StarCraft 2, I don't need to test it to tell that it is a good game and that I would like it.

Sometimes I play the full version at a friend's house, if it's cool enough, I'll buy it. That's how I got ''Resident Evil 4'' and ''Dragonball Z Budokai'' (both Nintendo Gamecube games).

I'm that strange breed that gets the full version off the net and then feels bad if the game is good and buys the full version anyway. I mean, I'm a programmer too and wouldn't want my work pirated. I did this with AOE2, a couple command and conquer games and SimCity 3000. IF the darn stores had some of my other games I'd get those too 

I've rarely installed demo versions It feels weird to me. I'll open the start menu, and there are a bunch of games with the capital letters "DEMO" at the end, Screaming, "BUY ME! BUY ME"- although I'll admit some less desireable titles scream "UNINSTALL ME!" instead.
