I am hoping that someone can help be because I am about to go out of my mind. And I apologize if this has already been covered. I didn't see it, but it might be somewhere on the site. I recently (yesterday) upgraded to a legitimate version of Windows XP SP2. I am having several issues, but the one that has me close to hanging myself from the ceiling fan is .. When I start up, the computer makes it through the first black Windows XP screen and then it goes to a blue Windows Starting .... screen. It takes forever (many minutes) to go from there to the Welcome screen. Has anyone had this issue and if so, how did you fix it.
