[RESOLVED] DLL Entry Point error? Not good...
« on: December 19, 2007, 10:10:33 PM »
I just installed Comodo Firewall Pro 3.0. When I installed CFP 3.0, I received this error:

The procedure entry point IsThreadDesktopComposited could not be located in the dynamic link library USER32.dll.

I ignored the error and installation went well. No problems.
But now it gets worst...

Every time this firewall trys to do something (e.g update, learn an application) I receive this damned error every time!! Ugh!

Does anyone have a solution?

I use Windows XP Home Edition with SP2.

Thank you for your help.

Might not be useful, but here is some more information:

I opened Comodo Firewall Pro in Dependency Walker. USER32.DLL is highlighted in red. When I click on USER32.DLL, IsThreadDesktopComposited is highlighted in red too.

Thank you so much! It works now. I created a backup file of DWMAPI.DLL and renamed DWMAPI.DLL to DWMAPI.OLD.

    Once again thank you.  :)
