Invalid Page Fault

I keep receiving an invalid page fault regardless of what program I am running.

The message is always the same - (Program) has caused an invalid page fault in module (Unknown) at XXXXXXX

XXXXXXX is always the same - I have 256mb of ram - I have removed each module one at a time - same problem - Defraged the drive, ran scandisk still does it -

I removed the swap file, shut down, restarted - same thing.

The memory ID # is always the same regardless of the program.  Any suggestions would be helpful
