blown power supply
« on: January 29, 2008, 03:09:20 PM »
I replaced a dead power supply.  As soon as I turned the computer on with the new power supply, it blew too.  What could be causing that?  Running windows XP.

Oops, sorry. I just looked inside my computer now and it turns out they changed the design of the front power connector. Now there is only one connecter and you can't plug int in wrong very easy. Probably wasn't the cause then.

But it could just be bad luck- although then again you wouldn't want to install ANOTHER power supply and have it blow as well...
