Tree command
« on: February 03, 2008, 08:30:59 PM »
Heya,

I'm pretty new to all this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any way to the tree command (http://www.computerhope.com/unix/tree.htm) on mac os x 10.5 (Leopard)?  I've always thought that macs are unix based and the help page seemed to imply that it's an unix command as well.

Thanks.

If you open up console, you can use the "ls" command, which is basically the same thing.

The better question would be, what are you trying to do?  Why do you want to see a non-graphical list of the folders rather than just using the gui of OS X?

That would be the question I would ask too.
