Microsoft Says Vista SP1 Blocks Third Party Apps

Microsoft has confirmed that some third party applications are either blocked or lose functionality on machines that have Vista service pack 1 installed, including products from Trend Micro, Zonelabs, BitDefender, andNovell.

I've read on another forum, that Search function is missing from Start menu, or messed up.
I won't hurry to get it. That's for sure.

    correct me if im wrong, but arnt the service packs supposed to improve the OS not bugger it up more?

    Yes I'd think that's the intent. Although as I'm sure we can all recall the issues with XP and its service packs when first released.

    Absolutely, but this is only one side of the coin...some people will install alphas, betas on their main computers; they will dig through torrents, PnPs, just to get it, like it's some kind of a hot cake, or must have toy, and the results are easy to predict....ComputerHope gets busy...
