    socket 775 processors
    « on: March 03, 2008, 06:46:04 AM »
we have a computer with a 775 socket, and I was looking at processors, what is the big difference between the celeron p4, the intel p4, the pentium D, other than the speed, would it be advisable to replace with a faster fsb like 800, or try to keep the same, (500) thanks

a faster fsb is always desirable, just ensure that your motherboard supports whatever speed you go for,
as for celeron, as far as im aware these are the budget chips as during manufacture they dont shall we say "live up to expectations"
so not all of the processing capacity is usable, suppose it really depends on what your gonna use it for and how much your willing to pay.
