Those About to die---by Daniel P. Mannix

Planet Of The Apes----by Pierre Boulle

Back To The Stone Age-----by Edgar Rice Burroughs

Hairry Pwotter an da sorarsorars stone

Honestly, I started reading the series when it first came out. Many think its overpopular, I honestly (being I started reading it right before it became popular in the US) think its just great.

Second favorite would have to be... the Romona Series by Beverly Clearly (not, I dont read those anymore  :P but, I remember how much fun it was when I was little to read them)

Other than that, I honestly dont read so much anymore. I was reading Aldous Huxlys "A Brave New World" but the plot is so dang scattered in that book... it was getting a bit confusing.

There was a book about the Holocaust that I found fascinating, but, I dont recall the name.

I am not very much into literature though... I will write anecdotes occasionally.

Oh! Some more titles poping into my head!

Rose Red  by  Stephen King (GREAT READ! This is like, the only  book he has ever published where his name isnt in text bigger than the title, actually, his name isnt written anywhere on the book, or inside it...)

Also, the Left Behind Series

I started reading the Girl who loved Tom Gordon (I think that was Stephen King, not sure) it was okay, but, I never finished it...

I have a concentration problem... and also, I find that I start a lot of things and never end them. I start reading a book, and it never gets finished...

Also, reading through the SPAM on my forum is pretty fun... (as long as image blocking is on, that is)

I read The Anne series BY LM Montegomery, I read the first book when i was 10 n she was 10 , then i read the second when i was 14 n she was 15 , i read the third when she was leaving school , n i was leaving school , but the fourth she was getting married but ummm nothing happening here!!!!!
But really every one who reads those books has told me that the character Anne is exactly me, n i know that too.
I love classics mostly , some by Anthony masters, n others.

Some best books:

"Siddhartha" by Herman Hesse

"Gates of Fire" by Steven Pressfield

Quote
There were three hens, but when asked the hen in the middle said there are 2 two hens infront of her, n two hens behind her,but there are only 3 hens?
Why does the hen in the middle say so?

Now, my dear Ivy, does our hen speak metaphorically?  Is she the third of five generations?  Thus, there would be two (generations) in front of her and two behind her, so to speak...

Well, now I shall have to further ponder the words of the hen...

You've given us a koan to work, Ivy.

A couple of years ago, I was in a bookstore, and passed by a new edition of "Siddhartha" which boasted a bold new translation.  (Hesse wrote the original in German.)  Though it was a form of prejudice`-- I should give this bold new translation a chance -- I thought, we don't need a bold new translation, when Hilda Rossner did such a lovely job.

So, yes, Hesse's Siddhartha is a young man who has the courage to make his own
path and his own way in the world.  For me, it was a book I didn't want to end.

I have soo soo many of them. right now im reading Dante's divine comedy, inferno, i like to read books that were written  a long time ago. I've read all the Jane Austen books although im really not in to romance it's neat to see how they wrote in a different time period and to see their ideas and thoughts i also loved madame bovary and the mysteries of udulpho by anne radcliffe

"E=mc^2 - A Biography of The World's Most Famous Equation " by David Bodanis.

I just finished this -- it may not be the best book ever, but it's a great book if you're not a physicist or mathematician, and you want to get your brain at least partially "wrapped around" Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity.  There is also great "background" information.  (Germany came very close to having the atomic bomb, but I shall spoil no more.)

"For you, a thousand times over." - "The Kite Runner"
