Invalid Page Faults - HELP!!
« on: January 21, 2005, 09:20:32 AM »
I have a Pent II that is now running Win98se (since I have re-installed it 2x's now!!) My problem is that everytime I try to connect to the internet I get an INVALID PAGE FAULT in Module KERNEL32.dll and the program closes.  It was working just fine two weeks ago.  I have checked the modem and it seems to be working fine since it allows me to connect at login.  I have also del temp files.  i will re-run defrag & scandsk & virus scan 2nite.  I am an online student so I'm dead in the water w/out this!! PLEASE HELP!! ??? ???

There are too many reasons for IPF's to list here. Try this site:

http://www.all-windows.com/kernel32.html

Good luck.  8)

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

thanks for all the suggestions.   :)Since I cannot connect to the internet I won't be able to access the website referenced.  I have done uninstall/reinstall on my Win98se cd 2x's.  I was finally able to get scan disk to run & defrag over the weekend.  Now when I connect to the internet it says "Dialer caused an IPF in module...." so I am going to assume that my dialer is fried.  I am at a loss.  I guess I will just have to fork over the $$ to have it looked at.  :'(
