There is nothing malicious there, and I don't see any unnecessary startups beside BigFix. You can uninstall that thing.
Is Norton your AV, and firewall, because it's not clear from the log?

        My AV?

Norton came with the computer as a 60 day trial.

How often should one run HJT and post the scan in here?

If I am usin AOL's browser, should I have IE launched? It has been said about IE that it attracts bugs and such. Is that true.

Broni, is there a forum here that will teach me how to make a desk top folder and more importantly, how to download items from my mailroom to it?

        Thanks Broni...

Download, and install free ThreatFire: http://www.threatfire.com/, which will give you real-time protection against malwares.
It won't interfere with your antivirus, nor firewall.

AOL browser is just IE offspring. I strongly recommend, you switch to Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Good lawd Broni, I'm quaking in my boots at the thought of my trying to do these tasks alone.

I can contact Symantec about uninstalling Nortonand maybe they will install AVG. Microsoft did it a few months ago for my old puter.

Okay, Broni, my deal with some of these things may be there compatibility with Pogo.com. A game site where I am a paying member and am already having problems loading images from some of their games.  I don't know zip about these systems so I'm trusting you.

What are the downsides to having Firefox rather than IE? Others have advised that I get this but will it limit me in any way. I am already crippled by my illiteracy.

          Thanks Broni...

They won't. The steps, I posted for you are easy. Nothing will happen. You can always post a question back here, if any doubts.

Not to "have", but to "use". You can't uninstall IE, so you're gonna have two browsers, which is perfectly fine, and you'll be using Firefox.
Downsides? Yeah, there are IE downsides. It's less safe, and it often causes problems with hard to find solutions.
On a top of it, Firefox has hundreds of very useful add-ons.
          Trust me, you'll love it.

I just left a search for Mozilla vs. Internet Explorer, people seem to be happy with FF especially the younger gen. and males. There seems to be some question about using FF with Java. I do a lot of game site and I don't want to have to constantly turn anything on or off.

I don't think that I have launched IE as yet. At least my system bar has an icon asking me to launch IE. I haven't gotten any downloads from Windows so i don't think it is up. When I got my reformats back in the fall, Windows sent me like 80 downloads in one session.

Look Broni, I want to do what will be most efficient to my game sites and ask the least of me when it comes to add on or plug ins or whatever. I'm all about worry free internet.

            Okay, deep breath.

I did go into the control panel and unistalled BIGFIX. I'll do some checking about FireFox. I have no problem with uninstalling Norton and putting AVG in. I just have to get it done.

Emachines support sent me this piece about Acceller:

                http://www.acceller.com/about_press.html

Acceller is in my "All Programs" but it listed with simply a folder by it. Does that mean it is not running and therefore not needed? If so does it need to be deleted or just left alone. It is not in my "Control Panel".

                Thanks.

By the way, I'm still considering the Mozilla in view of the possibility of it not working with Java. Games Sites require Java don't they?

No, Acceller is not running. You may leave it alone.
When you install Java, it installs for ALL browsers, so it doesn't matter, which browser you use.

Hey Broni, thanks for the input. Broni, I'm so tired...I've been working with EA Sports and Symantec all day trying to figure out why nothing seems to allow me to load images from some of the pogo.com games. Nothing they do works. (real heavy sigh)
