Need help with installing a new processor!

Hello everybody!
I have a problem with installing a new processor.
Im trying to install an Intel Celeron D Processor 320 2.4Ghz.
I have currently an Intel Pentium III 1.0Ghz
I have an motherboard asus-motherboard.
The problem is that my current processor(pentiumIII) much bigger is then the new processor(CeleronD2.4)
The Celeron2.4-processor cant be installed in the cpu-slot.
So I want to ask if somebody can help me out of this.
