    Can I Run Savage 2?
    « on: May 12, 2008, 09:32:14 PM »
I just got this new cpu and wondering if i can run savage 2 on it, because i LOVED savage 1!

    Specs:

    ACER ASPIRE M5640
    OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
    Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2160 @1.8GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.8GHz
    Memory: 2814MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 630i
    Direct x10

Will this run savage 2 well on my computer?

What are the system requirements for Savage 2?

Having performed a simple internet search, I easily found the following information:

    Quote
Below are the minimum and recommended system specifications to run Savage 2 - A Tortured Soul

    Minimum:
    Processor - 2.2Ghz P4 or faster
    AMD 2000+ or faster
RAM - 1 Gb of ram
Video Card - 128Mb fully directx 9.0 compliant Geforce or Radeon
    Windows XP, Win2k, Windows Vista
    Network Connection Required

We strongly advise players to use components closer to the recommended system requirements. While the game will function with these minimum requirements it will have significantly poorer performance than the recommended requirements.

    Recommended:
    Processor - 2.0ghz Core 2 duo / AMD 3500+ or faster
RAM - 1.5 Gb or higher
    Video Card - 256Mb Geforce 7800+ or Radeon x1900+
    Windows XP, Win2k, Windows Vista
    Network Connection Required (Broadband)

    Linux Users:
A OpenGL 2.1 compliant video card is required.

xhairs, what you have there is a low/mid-end laptop.
It's not designed with any sort of gaming in mind other than 2D/old 3D.
Savage 2, from the system requirements, is a fairly modern 3D game.  Your laptop will not run it, or if it will run it will be a slideshow - very slow and jerky.

      Cup holder?

There's an old customer support story.  I don't know if it's true, but the customer called in to say he or she was having trouble with the retractable cup holder, but they meant the tray of the CD drive.
