    trying to extract history of program to laptop using serial-USB cable...

    im trying to backup the history of a program to my laptop using the serial-USB cable. when i connect the two computers, nothing happens. when i look under device manager, there is no mention of ports. do i not have any COM ports set up?? is there somewhere else i should look?

    What exactly are you trying to do? Hook up two computers?

      trying to get the program from a computer that runs refrigeration on to my laptop. via the serialUSB cable.
