WIN98 PROBLEMS
« on: February 28, 2005, 01:46:35 AM »
Help me Please!!!!!!!. I have a Pentium III Win 98 System and when i boot it up , after the Win98 loading screen, just before it loads my Desktop, It goes into an MS-DOS MODE screen as 'win 98 Extended Memory (XXS) Support' 'Write exit to return to windows'. I Type 'exit' and it just reboots itself. I can run the system in safe mode and in my computer properties it says there is a problem in recognising something to do with either "autoexec.bat" or "config.sys". I can edit either one in the MS DOS MODE but i dont know how to fix it. Experts i need your advice................ Desperately. YoShi

Move autoexec.bat and config.sys from c:\ in a directory. Your computer will act as it does not have autoexec.bat and config.sys.
