    Problem with my router?
    « on: August 12, 2008, 04:33:42 AM »
I have a wireless router, and have 2 PCs hooked up to it in the same room.....it works pretty good most of the time, but i lose my internet connection several times during my online time, in which i unplug the router and plug it back in to get my connection back.....it works then, but its a pain to always have to keep doing this.....whats wrong is my router is it bad or what?

I am using Windows XP, on a custom built computer, 3.0 Intel 1 GB ram  and i am not getting any error messeages, i also havent tried the latest drivers.

I bought the router on Ebay....and it has done this since i've had it...any help?

        You still have this problem?

What is the make and model of your router?

Sorry. This post must have slipped past our guards.  :-X

Anyways, how far away are these two laptops? What is the signal strength?
Does it happen at any specific time?

How do you know it's a problem with the Router? Have you tried another laptop?

I once had this problem with a 2wire. Are you sure your ISP supports the router? My 2wire was doing the same thing because it didn't work with my service provider.
