but windows installer wont install

Intel Celeron 1.3 G Hz processor, 248Mb Ram
Windows XP Home Edition
Service pack 2

What's the hard drive size/free space?

BTW...248MB of RAM is really low for running XP.

well i have around 25GB

and the "error" message is

Access is denied.

i click OK

 KB893803v2 installation did not complete

Select 'OK' to undo changes that have been made

I click Ok. it undo's changes then restarts my computer

At what exact point "Access denied" message comes up? When you try to install Windows Installer? If so, at what point of installation.
Does the message have any header, saying where it comes from? Windows?
