    I receive a notification every day that updates are ready for my computer and when I try to get the update it says it failed.  It's for the Microsoft Office Powerpoint Viewer 2003.  I tried researching an answer for this issue but nothing seems to work.

      There's a lot of info on that page.  What do I click on?  One of the downloads???

        Hmmm....Can you try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it?

          Now I'm really confused.  I went to add and remove programs and powerpoint 2003 wasn't there.     ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

            I downloaded it but I can't open it.  I tried following these instructions from the Microsoft download page:

            To specify a download install location (for network administrators):
            On the Start menu, click Run, and type command.
            Navigate to the path of the installed PPViewer.exe program.
            Type ppviewer.exe /c:“msiexec /i ppviewer.msi INSTALLLOCATION=c:\target” where c:\target is the installation directory.
            Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

            When I typed in command I got a blue screen.

            Strange.......This might not be the problem, but I think you should have a look here:

            When you follow the guide, post the three logs over in the Computer Virus and Spyware Section along with a link to this topic for reference.
            This will help us check to see if there is any malware influencing your computer's behaviour.
