My BF2142 can't be played after my CPU was fixed..it keeps CTD even before the loading started..it looks like this

OS:Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)
Video card:NVIDIA GeForce 6600

-Not even any error message/number.It just CTD to the desktop after the screen black out for few seconds.
-The game was still fine before my PC get reformat

What was wrong with your CPU?

Have you tried System Restore?

Well,I think the motherboard got fried one day when i was installing game.The monitor just went black.So,after fixing and buying a new motherboard,this problem started.

Oo.I actually wrote CTD to desktop in my 1st post which i ardy edited.

CTD=Crash to desktop

So,I wrote it wrong

I tried the System Restore.My previous systems are all removed.So,I can't revert back

What do you mean? System restore just restore the same PC to a certain date... And they are undoable.

The dates before my PC get format are all gone..so,its useless to revert back to the days(this month) which I can't play the game

Ok,problem solved..it was just bcuz of the stupid graphic card missing!!! My bro didn't told me that the graphic card wasn't in the CPU!!

Bcuz they put in a basic graphic card into my PC..since my old one my bro said its broken or fried.

i see. so you mean that the basic graphics card was not supported by battlefield 2142 so game kept crashing so you needed a card that was same or better than the card your bro said wasn't functioning.

anyway enjoy the game dude. how far are u in the rankings? what guns/accessories did u unlock already if any?

Yes,the previous graphic card I using was NVidia 6600GT.Now planning to get 8800GT or 9600GT.

Now,maybe 5000+ something in the world??MY ranking disappeared since i MIA for a long time. I have unlocked all the weapons,now is Brigadier General.The highest I ever get was Lieutenant General..that was long time ago.Now,my skills are rusty

I wonder why EA doesn't use Valve's source engine on some of their games (provided that EA is allowed to)
