D-Link - options?
« on: September 23, 2008, 08:32:20 PM »
Ok - here's the skinny.

Today upgraded my Direcway 6000 satellite to Hughes Net 7000.  On 6000, was set up to successfully to get a link across to my backup Lenovo.  With same connections - in other words going thru router from computer to modem - now, no dice.  Shuts down my connectivity.

I do recall way back - and hard to remember what I did but - as the modem has the ubiquitous IP of 192.168.0.1 - had changed D-Link to something like 192.168.0.2 - to get things working.

Right now - have direct connection to puter LAN from modem and this works fine but - set up router as before and lose any connection altogether.

So - gurus - what is best way to try and change the router IP such that I can maybe once more get connection supplying both primary puter and secondary - all functioning normally.?
Ain't technology great - until it goes wrong!
