I have not a clue.  I have tried everything i can think of to make sure it is working but the only thing that I haven't done was uninstall and reinstall.

We're not communicating - Specifically, why do you think that Java is not working? Give a specific website or other specific example that indicates to you that your Java install doesn't work.
If you don't have time to do it right

Last try - provide the address for a SPECIFIC site where you have a problem.

Download and install Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/,  - same problem?

uninstall java, restart pc, open ie7 go to tools->options (general tab) -> settings(browser history)
          ->view objects
make sure there are no java files.
          install java and restart.

Check both ie7 and firefox if java is working.

The specific sites are anything to do with java (example: pogo).  I tired to uninstall and reinstall java 2 times and still nothing seems to work.  It doesn't work in firefox either.  Someone please help, this is driving me nuts.  thank you in advance.

You may have not have Java enabled in IE or there may be something stuck in the browser cache that is interfering.

Be sure that you have Java installed, then:

              1) Open IE: Tools>Manage Add-ons>Enable and Disable Add-Ons>look for and click on Sun Java, make sure that the "Enabled" radio button is selected.

              2) Open IE: Tools>Internet Options>General Tab>Browsing History>Delete. Delete: History, Cookies and Temporary Internet Files. You can "Delete All," if you wish.
              Close IE.

              3) Open IE: Tools>Internet Options>General Tab>Browsing History>Settings>View Objects. Delete any references to Pogo games or any other Java applets. Close IE and re-start it.

Suggest that you try Pogo after each step.

Post back and let us know ow you're doing.

I have 3 other things in the browsing history>view objects.  They are:  MUwebcontrol class,  WUwebcontrol class, and Yinststarter class.
I don't know if any of these are java related so I didn't delete these.

The first two are fine - leave them, I don't know the third but leave it for now.

                  Which steps have you done?

                  Can you access Pogo?

I followed the steps that were written in one of the last posts.  I cleared everything out and still I can't get onto pogo (or any other website with java)

                          Okay - let's back up for a minute :).

                          1) Uninstall Java: Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, uninstall ALL instances of Java. Shut down the computer, wait 10 seconds and re-start.

                          2) Download and run CCleaner: www.ccleaner.com. On the Windows tab, make sure that the first three items are selected under Internet Explorer and that Temporary Files are selected under System. If more items are selected, that's ok. "Run Cleaner" at bottom right of screen.

                          3) Reset IE: Start IE>Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab>Reset. Close IE and re-start computer.

                          4) Download and install Java.

                          5) Re-start computer.

Do the above in order and post back.

                          What are those problems?
