It has been brought up that the games section in the Off Topic section be removed. Before any action is done on this I'd like to put it to a vote, so please cast your vote if you'd like to see this removed or not removed. Give this around a week or so before a decision is made.

I quite liked the idea that only users with above XXX amount of posts could see the Forum Games Section.

Are we scrapping that idea?

Right now guests can't see the section so was not scrapped, just not post count restricted. Guess I could put in that option as well if people would like to keep it but make it so there is a minimum post count.

Ah right, got it.

Personally, I don't really see any need for it since we already have an Off Topic section but no harm in keeping it if we're limiting who can see it.

I didn't see any reason to reomove anything before, everything has its value , but after reading others opinions I think it could be annoying for some people!Specially with the unread replies problem, but I hope we can save the prediction Game, Ch would look lonely without it , also 'I have a' game.

Keep it. Reason:When folks are bored they are able to enjoy the site.

This site would be boring if changed.Remember there is no requirement
to go there but,we are able to trade ideas and goof around.

What is the big deal? This ain't work,or school.

Games would be moved to the Off Topic section...

Its moreover a matter of just clearing up the boards. There is no reason to have a separate section for games when they do belong in Off Topic.

In that case just make it all Off Topic. Now I would change my vote to Yes-

What would be the point of moving it? The poll is to remove it. How is it implied that the Games Forum would be moved?

This is turning into the political equivalent of putting lipstick on a pig. I think that Forum Games cheapens the look and purpose of Computer Hope.

The poll asks "Remove Off topic games section?", and the top option says "Yes - Remove".
I would say this poll is to remove the section, not move it.
However, I guess forum games would just be carried on in the Off Topic board, as they were before the introduction of that board. So, I guess the poll is right in that it's about removing the board - the games will not be moved, they'll just be carried on elsewhere. Make sense?

This is to remove it all together and not continue it in the Off Topic section. Part of the reason it was created was because games were being created in the Off Topic section so would defeat the purpose if we just moved it.

So just to re-clarify (you can change your vote if needed). If passed this section along with all its posts would be removed and not continued on the forum.

Although I run the site / forum I hate to think of it as 'mine'. Which is why I always try to involve the community in all decisions I make. A lot of people have expressed their desire to remove this section so I'm putting up to a vote. The vote and feedback from the community is what makes up pretty much all decisions.
