DVD Drive Problem

My DVD drive opens, then when I Pess the button to make it go back in it opens the drive up again. This can go on for ever.

I don't Know the brand of my DVD drive, it came with a gateway computer windows ME

This can be caused by several things:
1.  Sticking tray.
2.  Windows is attempting to access drive, for some reason.
3.  Defective drive.
