is my gfx card broken

my machine is not posting because the ram slots are malfunctioning (the computer reads no ram) but i noticed that when i power on, even tho the fan on my cpu starts the fan on my grfx card does not. would a failure to even start the post be a cause of my gfx card not powering up?

if i am reading this right you turn your computer on and get your bois to come up but then it hangs because of no ram.

Yes- i would try either the card in another comp, a different gfx card, or a new motherboard.

no- try some new ram first if still nothing, your mothoboard is dead.
