Help with install of Diablo 2
    « on: November 18, 2008, 06:18:31 PM »
Hi!..........Just got into gaming a month ago & was recommended to buy Diablo 2. When running the install disc I get the following error. The AT@T WorldNet internet soft Database file is missing from install media? I've googled this and can't make heads or tales of it.  Anybody run ito this prob before? Any advice is appreciated. Bought this game new in the box! I've installed COD-2, Crysis, UT-3 and HALO & all run fine.

Is that the EXACT error message?
At what point in the installation does it come up?

    Also, what Operating System?

Yep...........That's the exact error message. It comes up on the options menue for signing up for the internet. I'm runnin XP.  It also wants me to install Direct X 7a. I already have the latest version of Direct X 9. Do I need to do this for it to run?
