If I fall who is there to pick me up now.  I stand alone but I stand as the gaurdian for whom I wish to protect.  The sound of my blade utters my name as you fall.  For I shall not move.  For those that forsake the very people are wosres

One post per problem. If you can't be bothered to include details, why should we bother to look through your previous single-sentence replies to try to determine them?

If you want to keep your specs in one post, fine. Link to that post so we don't have to find it.

However, you still have to tell us the problem in more depth.

If we were getting paid to do this, maybe we'd be willing to search through the hundreds of posts you make daily (and unnecessarily), but this is a free service that we provide during our spare time.  If you expect to get FREE help, don't you think we at least deserve certain common courtesies?  After all, it's your problem, not ours.  What's it going to hurt to make our "job" a little easier for us?  It's better than not getting help from us at all, right?

My point is you can't expect us to find the information or know what the problem is.

You just mentioned, 16 days after you started this topic, that you had soldered the motherboard. Such information can be posted in the first post.
You also need to tell us when it started and what you have been doing that may have caused the problem.
Also tell us as much as you can about the problem (any sounds, exact error messages, ect...)

I believe you need to study this:
We need more information. Please look here: http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,33586.html

All your topics start like 'blah blah doesn't work. What can I do'
I/we always refer you to that above topic, but we only get an reply of equal length.

We cannot help you if we don't know all the information.

If we didn't have to keep telling you to put more info, you're post count would be half of what it is now...

Wait...you're saying that because you said this is your gaming machine, we're supposed to know everything about it?  I have no knowledge of this computer and what modifications you have made to it.  I didn't even know that you had a gaming machine, nor did I know that you have more than one computer.  We're not psychics and we don't read all of your posts.  Out of the hundreds of computers on this forum, the only one I'm familiar with is my own.

              Squall:

I hate to sound harsh (and this is definitely going to), but:

Post the info.  If you don't, we can't help you.

It's not our job to help you.  We don't have to help you.  We choose to.

If you're going to inconvenience us by having us go out of our way more than necessary and pretend to be someone we're not (psychic), we can just simply refuse.  If you want to go to another forum, fine.  In the little time I've been here, I've noticed that there are very nice people here who go out of their way to help others.  Don't walk all over them or take advantage of their kindness.  We need that kindness in this world--don't destroy it with your laziness and sense of entitlement.

Again, post the info requested or go somewhere else for help.

i try to but i always seem to overkoo something

...and that's fine.  We're all human.  We make mistakes.  We also learn from the mistakes so we're less likely to make them again.

If you overlook something, we can tell you what you overlooked so you include it next time.  If you want to build a house, you have to start somewhere.  If you missed a window or a vent, someone will tell you and you can go from there. :)
