Unable to reboot....HELP!!!!

my laptop won't reboot.  I pressed F8 and was brought to the options menu. I tried safe mode, normally, and last known configuration but all it brings up is a black screen. I need hellllllp! Please ;D ;D

    Actually, the info the OP provided is at least sufficient enough to suggest a repair-install first.

    If you have Internet Explorer 7, Service Pack 3, or Windows Media Player 11 installed on your PC, then you'll  need to slipstream those into your Windows XP source files first using nLite:

    http://www.nliteos.com

    Use the disc created through nLite to do your repair-install.
