im using microsoft windows 98 im not getting a error message when i went to make a new account i clicked on user account icon and it pops up but its completely blank and it just started it doesnt show anything it sais user accounts but it doesnt say anything inside the pop up and i cant make a new account neither delete or nuthin i just figured out today. please help.oh and theres nothing else wrong with my computer heeellllp
oh and i just downloaded vista transformation pack please hellp

Is this the first time you've tried to create a new account?

Why do you need another one, may I ask?

Are you sure there are no error messages at all?

Is this a genuine version of Windows 98, not a copy?

umm cuz i just wanted to make one for me and my whole family because thisis the home computer

its genuine
it used to have alot of user accounts but we got alot bad viruses so we got it fixed alot and now i tried to make one but it wont let me i only have one account on this computer and it sais its local its called owner and i didnt make it but it wont let me make new ones

There are probably still remnants of the virus on your computer.

How did you remove the virus? Can you remember what it was?

Also, I strongly suggest getting a new computer. Windows 98 is awfully outdated.

we sent it to computer shops to get fixed and it worked perfectly and it does now xept now

I'm not so familiar with Windows 98, you my help here will be limited. Hopefully, someone will join in.

Anyways, when was it when you sent it to the shop? Do you happen to have the Windows CD?

but i dont have it i really dont have problems with this computer its just
that user accounts isnt working

Be sure to enable "Multiple Users" after you open "Users" In Control Panel. Take a look at thdis for help..

its not there when it pops up it completely blank but at the top it sais user accounts.
and i went to computer managment and it doesnt say local users and groups because i tried to give it administrator rights but its not there.
