    trouble viewing some webpages
    « on: January 05, 2009, 07:55:58 PM »
Recently I have been having trouble viewing certain websites properly. Either some graphics are missing, or everything will be pushed together on one side of the screen. This is the same by internet explorer and by firefox.
I used to be able to see everything properly. I'm wondering if this is a cause of one of my windows updates. However, I don't remember exactly when this happened and I have installed a lot of updates recently.
I'm attaching an example of a screen shot of one of the websites. (meebo.com) You can check on your computer to see what it's supposed to look like, and see how it looks for me.
Also, I tried reinstalling java, but it didn't help.
Thank you SOOOOO much in advance!!

Don't post .doc files, because for security reasons, nobody is gonna open it.
Simply attach a file as a graphic file (.jpg, .gif, etc.)

I did PrtSc and pasted it into word. How do I save it as a picture file?

Obviously, I can't check it on my computer, because, since I didn't sign up for meebo, I'm getting different home page (not sign in page). Can you post some page, which would look same on  my computer?

You don't have to sign up for meebo to use it. I'm attaching a picture of how it's supposed to look. (I did this on a different computer.)
Another webpage that I have problems with is my facebook profile. That is REALLY bad. But I'm not gonna post a picture of it on here.

It won't hurt, but I have couple more questions:
            - what browser, version do you use?
            - Verify your Java version here: http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
            Update, if necessary.
Uninstall all previous Java versions, through Add\Remove.
            - what are your results here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/

            HJT log is clean.

Forget my first question. Since you're using Vista, it's IE 7.
Koshernet Client Filter may be your problem.
            Close IE.
Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons). Same problem?
