    unable to install or download
    « on: January 08, 2009, 09:36:28 PM »
I have Windows XP Home and cannot download or install anything. When I try to download anything a box pops up that says:

Internet Explorer cannot download (name of site).
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.

When I try to install anything a box pops up that says:

A fatal error occured during installation.

I have spybot and it gave me a list of threats but I dont know which ones I can remove safely. This list includes:
    Win32.Agent (3 entries TrojanC)
    Win32.Agent (2 entries TrojanC)
    WildTangent (16 entries PUPS)
    Virtumonde (1 entry TrojanC)
Which ones can I remove safely? Thanks for any suggestions.

Remove all of them. Then see if you can download and run the tools in this guide > http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,46313.0.html
