Need Cable Purchasing advise

I need to purches some cables for my motherboard. For audio the manual states "This header supports S/PDIF in and can connect to an audio device that supports audio out via an optional S/PDIF cable. Contact your local dealer for purchase"

Is this how I get digital out from my onbaord audio. I've tried coaxile and optial cable which plays sound in my speakers but the speakers say that they are not receiving digital input.

What cable do I need and where can I get it?

2. I need high quality Sata cables for my Hard drive and Blue Ray DVD drive. Where can I get them and should they be 1.5 speed or 3.0 speed?

check in you sound manaagment options it may be a reversable input output spidf port. ive got one.
