battery may have failed or need recharge after 6 months of storage. It is a Maxell bran cr 2032. 3 volts.
will the battery recharge if plugged in for a few hours?
it is installed in HP desktop computer.

    Well... friend, the life the battery is much greater than what is expected by you? No...battery can be charged only with recharger if it is rechargable.

    That's not a rechargeable battery.  It's a Lithium battery.  Very long life:  5-7 years.
