Computer Mouse can't drag and move icons...

My computer mouse (USB type) has suddenly lost the ability to drag icons, file folders etc. What will be the problem? Meanwhile, the streamer sceens of my investment accounts also are malfunctioning, I can not use the mouse to click on the streamer sceens (completely frozen) and it has been impossible to use the mouse to read java charts etc. Are these problems related to each other?

Could be a bad mouse, but try plugging it into another USB port.

I think that I have the solution... Right-click on your desktop (an open area), and point ot arrange icons... Next make sure that AutoArrange is NOT checked... If it is, then click on it to uncheck it...

Thank you for the replies. I tried to correct the problem following your suggestion, unfortunately, it did not work out. Except the problems I mentioned above, the mouse works OK.

Windows XP. BTW, the screen saver function was also automatically disabled at the same time (and I could not restore it). Are some spywares or worms or viruses in charge of these problems? Thanks.

There could be... However, you should not have to worry so much about that if you have protection for spyware and viruses...
