Network Printer setup
« on: February 19, 2009, 02:37:07 PM »
I have a Phaser 560 extended laser printer that i would like to install as a network printer because I didn't get any of other cables with this printer. I bought the printer off eBay it didn't come with any cables. But it does have a network card built into it. I printed out the configuration page and found out the ip address.  I inputted the subnet mask address and the gateway address. I have a Netgear router and attached an cat 5 cable with a  RJ-45 connector.  But I could not change the original ip address My router just sees the mac address. I am very confused by this matter any advice would be greatly appreciated
